LEarn More About Milo

Explore Milo's Roadmap

Milo the Mime is an expressively illustrated children’s story that will bring readers back to those 90’s era Cartoon Network feel-good vibes. In the story, Milo learns to embrace his quirks and through doing so, he also learns that he is valuable. This is story teaches young readers to embrace their diversity,  and brings its fair share of physical gag humor, while at the same time illustrating that we don’t all have to be the same to fit in.

Chas creates Milo to inhabit the pages of his upcoming children’s book. He sends his designs and his goal to create a children’s book for a quirky, nonspeaking hero to Pittsburgh Society of Illustrators, catching Isaac’s eye.

Chas and Isaac work together on the editing of the book, polishing up the spelling and illustrations to prepare it for market. During this time, we send out a beta read of Milo and incorporate audience feedback into the final design. During this phase, we also identify key strategic partner prospects for the publication of the book, and shortly bring on Minnock Marketing to the Team.

With the book complete, we are now securing key strategic partnerships with individuals and organizations who share our mission to put Milo into the hands of readers in Southwestern PA and beyond.

We are also currently building our mailing list for those of you interested in being a part of Milo’s journey from concept to children’s book.

Once we secure our threshold of quality partnerships and mailing list members, we will launch our Kickstarter Campaign, making the book, and all of Milo’s expressive merchandise and amazing perks available to you.

For the Kickstarter Campaign, we are raising a goal of $2000 to print the first 500 copies of Milo the Mime, which we will use to fulfill Kickstarter backers and distribute to bookstores and at book fairs, online and in markets.

We will celebrate the arrival of the first 500 books of Milo the Mime with a festive launch party featuring, food and drink, live performance, kids activities, and the first public book reading of Milo the Mime. This will be a time for backers, strategic partners, and the public to take part in the celebration of our collective hard work.

Those of you who backed the campaign will be able to pick up your signed copies of Milo the Mime at the party!

After the launch party, Chas and Isaac will hit the mailboxes with Milo’s expressive fury and swiftness, ensuring that the all remaining of our Kickstarter backers’ orders are fulfilled in a timely fashion.

With the Kickstarter Campaign Fulfilled, we will take Milo on Tour to libraries, bookstores, and events in the region to organize special book signing events where our we and our strategic partners can spread Milo’s message of standing up for yourself, embracing your quirks, and serving your community.
